Tweet Chart WTF?

What is this?

The concept was simple. Give people points for each message that contains at least one #metal tag on Twitter. Then rank the top metal loving Twitter users accordingly. Of course a simple chart doesn't fill the page. So I also wanted to stream a live flow of "tweets" that contain the #metal tag to the right side. Thanks to the official Twitter widgets we now have that. I still would love to do it "in house" though someday.

Now when I say "we" I mean my good friend Melted Match. To be clear, I really suck at programming. I can hack a few things here and there, but the heavy lifting is all Melted Match. He's not a huge metal fan though. He is just a friend that tries to teach me to be a better geek, but this site would not be here without him. Please thank him for his hard work.

I'm more of an idea guy. I come up with ideas and partner up with people who can program. Once the majority of the code is done, I can tweak little things here and there to make it perfect. I also come up with most of the ideas at RockMyMonkey and HeavyAsHell.com. DarkNemesis618 is the programmer behind those sites. Both of those were around way before DarkNemesis618, but the current CMS used by those sites are totally his creation (and open source already)

Anyways, this service started out at my personal site MarkCarras.com. But because so many people kept asking me for the url, I thought it needed it's own shorter domain. So it's still on the same server, using the same database, and run by the same people. It just has an easier way for everyone to find it.
